When Wood-Mizer got into the portable sawmill business more than 20 years ago, it became
evident that improvements were needed in the quality and performance of blades. After having limited success with other manufacturers, we decided to make our own.

To this day, Wood-Mizer is the only sawmill manufacturer that produces its own blades. We have
an entire team of blade researchers who rigorously test the steel used in our blades. We use the best equipment available to manufacture the blades, including our very own CBN grinder, and sophisticated computerized setter. This is the same equipment used in our exclusive blade re-manufacturing program, called Re-Sharp. Wood-Mizer is the only company that provides this
service to its sawmill customers. This service uses the same superior equipment to re-sharpen blades, providing you with more accurate blade performance compared to blades sharpened
elsewhere.

Wood-Mizer is credited with revolutionizing thin-kerf technology, with a multitude of benefits to the consumer. Sawyers can saw more lumber faster, using less horsepower. We have two categories of blades to suit your needs. The DoubleHard blade is available in numerous profiles suited to dozens of applications. The new SilverTip blade is designed especially for the needs of the resaw industry.
