Wood-Mizer: Designed with Safety in Mind
Each one of Wood-Mizer's sawmills comes with a blade cover. Even if the blade hits a nail, rock, or other debris, the blade is secure in the confines of the head cover. The blade is only exposed where it needs to be - where it's hitting the wood. Our sawdust shoots even have fingers so the blades can't escape!
Experienced circle saw operators know that when the circle saw blade comes in contact with dangerous debris, it can produce a life-threatening situation for anyone at the mill. If our blade hits a knot or nail, the blade can't come out of its cover, and won't put you in harm's way.
Wood-Mizer recommends the use of the following safety equipment while using our sawmills, accessories, and value-adding products:
- Safety Glasses or Goggles
- Gloves
